Doctor Who to shoot in New York
Doctor Who News have published a report from the official Doctor Who Convention which took place in Cardiff today.
At the event, it was revealed that Doctor Who will return to America to shoot in New York for episode five of the new series, which sees the return of the Weeping Angels and the departure of Amy and Rory.
In 1966, the Doctor made a visit to the top of the Empire State building in The Chase. The production team first went to the Big Apple in 2007 for the Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks two-parter, although none of the cast were present. Doctor Who went to Utah for The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon in 2011.
The first footage of the new series also made its début at the convention. This trailer will be available on the BBC website from 9.00am on Monday.
