Matt Smith and Karen Gillan to appear at San Diego Comic-Con

Doctor Who stars Matt Smith and Karen Gillan are set to appear at this year's San Diego Comic-Con convention, BBC America have said.

They will be taking part in a panel alongside writer Toby Whithouse and executive producers Piers Wenger and Beth Willis.

There will be a Q&A session with the panel and some exclusive footage from the second half of Doctor Who's sixth series will be shown.

Matt Smith and Karen Gillan's first appearance at the convention will take place on Sunday, July 24th at 12.30-1.30pm.

The cast of Torchwood: Miracle Day will also be taking part in a panel on 22nd July.
