Doctor Who: The Almost People - Official Ratings

BARB have published the official consolidated viewing figure for "The Almost People", the sixth episode in the latest series of Doctor Who.

The episode was watched by a total of 6.72 million viewers on BBC One, with a 29.5% share of the total TV audience.

The figure is once again much higher than the initial overnight rating of 5.0 million viewers.

The consolidated viewing figure includes viewers who recorded the episode and watched it within 7 days.

The official figure does not include the BBC iPlayer, where over 1 million people have watched the story.

Episode 6 was BBC One's 6th most-watched programme of the week, and the 21st most-watched across all channels.

Episode 6 achieved an Appreciation Index of 86. An Appreciation Index is found by surveying a panel of around 5000 viewers to see what they thought of a particular programme. Is is a score out of 100, with the average BBC TV programme getting 80. A score of 85 or above is considered as "excellent".

In Australia, The Almost People was the 6th most-watched programme of the day with 718,000 viewers in the five capital cities. However this is only an overnight figure, which does not take regional, rural and time-shifted viewers into account.
