Doctor Who Statue - Second Doctor
Underground Toys will be producing a new Doctor Who statue range, beginning with a figure based on Patrick Troughton's version of The Doctor.
Patrick Troughton’s portrayal of the Second Doctor is captured at last in a statue of exacting detail. This is the first in a series of Collector Statues that will bring you beautiful detailing and incredibly accurate likenesses of characters from Doctor Who, the most successful science fiction series ever.
The Second Doctor’s costume is from the storyline ‘The Tenth Planet’ which was first broadcast on 29th October 1966. At the time, “Doctor Who” was broadcast in black and white but the colours used on the statue are authenticated by the many existing ‘behind the scene’ shots. This piece itself is made from polystone and once set on it’s base, stands 9” tall. It is presented in a high-quality, fully illustrated closed gift box. Masterfully painted and beautifully crafted, the Second Doctor is packaged with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity and is ready to display.
The figure is expected at Forbidden Planet's warehouse on 15 July 2011 and is available to pre-order now at the price of £49.99.
