Peter Davison cast in Law & Order: UK

Peter Davison, who played the Fifth Doctor in Doctor Who, has been cast in the fifth series of ITV 1's drama series Law & Order: UK.

The actor will play Henry Sharpe, the man taking over the job of Director of the CPS, described as a down to earth pragmatist and a great boss.

Freema Agyeman, who played Martha Jones in Doctor Who, is set to return to her regular role of Junior Crown Prosecutor Alesha Phillips.

Work on the series will begin shortly and is expected to air in 2011.
