David Tennant in 'Single Father'
Ex-Doctor Who actor David Tennant makes a welcome return to BBC One tonight, in the first episode of the new four-part drama 'Single Father'.
The series, written by Mike Ford, is emotionally powerful yet funny drama set in Glasgow, focusing on a man who struggling to look after his four children following the death of his wife.
Tennant plays the lead role of 'Dave' alongside ex-Coronation Street actress Suranne Jones, who has recently been cast in the next series of Doctor Who.
Episode 1 - 9.00pm, tonight, BBC One.
When Dave's wife Rita dies suddenly, he finds himself a single father to their four children. Rita's best friend Sarah is also devastated, but offers support to Dave and the family. In the midst of their shared grief, events take a turn that neither Dave nor Sarah could have ever predicted.
