Doctor Who Series 6 opening two-parter episode titles confirmed
The BBC's entertainment correspondent, Lizo Mzimba, has confirmed the episode titles of the two-part story that will open the sixth series of Doctor Who.
Episode One is titled "The Impossible Astronaut" while Episode Two is called "Day of the Moon".
The two-parter is written by Steven Moffat and sees the return of Matt Smith as The Doctor, Karen Gillan as Amy, Arthur Darvill as Rory along with Alex Kingston as River Song.
The story is set in America, and was partly shot on location in the Utah desert.
The new series of Doctor Who is expected to start over the Easter weekend (23rd/24th April), however the exact transmission details have yet to be confirmed.
