Steven Moffat and The Sarah Jane Adventures win Writers' Guild Awards

Steven Moffat and The Sarah Jane Adventures have triumphed at this year's Writers' Guild Awards.

Moffat won the special award for outstanding writing for his work on Doctor Who and Sherlock.

The writer said: "Write what you love. I've never loved anything as much as Doctor Who and Sherlock."

Phil Ford was recognised with Best Children’s TV Script for The Sarah Jane Adventures: The Curse of Clyde Langer.

Ford reacted to the news on Twitter: !F***ing hell! Just won the Writers Guild Award for Curse of Clyde Langer! And having a very nice night with Mr Steven Moffat."

The awards ceremony was held earlier this week at the Tabernacle in London.
