Neil Gaiman's Doctor Who 2013 episode - new details

Some information regarding Neil Gaiman's 2013 Doctor Who episode is emerging as the story is about to enter production in Cardiff.

The readthrough was held today with both Gaiman and new companion Jenna-Louise Coleman in attendance. The writer posted the above picture on Twitter.

Earlier this week Matt Smith also talked about the episode, describing it as a "fan favourite": “It’s very different [to The Doctor's Wife]. But again I think it will be a fan’s favourite because, well, without giving anything away, it just will be, because there’s something in it… Neil’s brilliant ideas will always add a level to Doctor Who, which will be interesting.”

British actor Calvin Dean, who appeared in The Sarah Jane Adventures, is set to return to the world of Doctor Who as a character named "Ha-Ha" in Gaiman's story.

Neil Gaiman previously wrote the 2011 Doctor Who episode The Doctor's Wife to great acclaim.

Doctor Who will return to BBC One at Christmas to be followed by the remaining eight episodes of Series 7 in Spring 2013.
