Doctor Who tops BBC iPlayer in September
All five episodes of Doctor Who transmitted on BBC One last month took places within the top ten on the BBC iPlayer chart.
In September, over 8 million people took to the BBC's legal online catch-up service to follow the adventures of The Doctor, Amy and Rory.
Asylum of the Daleks, which featured a surprise appearance from Jenna-Louise Coleman, has been viewed 2.2 million times since it was shown on 1 September.
Dinosaurs on a Spaceship took second place with 1.8 million, A Town Called Mercy was third with 1.4 million and The Power of Three was third, having being accessed 1.3 million times.
The Angels Take Manhattan also performed extremely well taking seventh place with 0.92 million, despite only being available for 28 hours last month.
The series opener was not only the most accessed programme in September, but also the fifth most popular of 2012.
