Saturn Award Nominations 2012 - Doctor Who and Torchwood: Miracle Day

Doctor Who and Torchwood: Miracle Day have been recognised in several categories for the 38th Saturn Awards.

Doctor Who, which airs on BBC America, is up for Best Youth-Orientated Series on Television against Being Human, Teen Wolf, The Vampire Diaries and The Nine Lives of Chloe King.

Torchwood: Miracle Day, which was produced by Starz, is going up against Camelot, Falling Skies, Game of Thrones, The Killing, Trek Nation and The Walking Dead for the Best Presentation on Television: (10 episodes or less).

Eve Myles is nominated for Best Actress in Television for role as Gwen Cooper in Torchwood alongside Mireille Enos (The Killing), Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Jessica Lange (American Horror Story), Anna Torv (Fringe) and Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer).

Lauren Ambrose (Jilly Kitzinger in Torchwood) is competing with Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter), Frances Conroy (The American Horror Story), Michelle Forbes (The Killing), Lana Parrilla (Once Upon A Time) and Beth Riesgraf (Leverage) for the Best Supporting Actress in Television award.

Bill Pullman (Oswald Danes in Torchwood) also picks up a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in Television and is going up against Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Kit Harington (Game of Thrones), Joel Kinnaman (The Killing), John Noble (Fringe), Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) and Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead).

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 20th June 2012 in Burbank, California.
