Doctor Who triumphs at TV Choice awards

The annual TV Choice awards took place at the Savoy hotel in London last night, with Doctor Who picking up two prizes.

Doctor Who took the Best Family Drama award, while Karen Gillan was named Best Actress for her role as Amy Pond.

Meanwhile, former Doctor Who actor David Tennant scooped the Best Actor prize for his work on the BBC One drama Single Father.
