Jane Espenson reveals Torchwood: Web of Lies spin-off

Torchwood writer Jane Espenson has said that a new Torchwood spin-off series is being produced.

Espenson hinted that the online series, Torchwood: Web of Lies, could feature Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Eliza Dushku.

"There is going to be Torchwood web content," she wrote. "So in addition to [the television series] there is Torchwood: Web of Lies. Enjoy all the [Torchwood] brands!"

"We have faith in Torchwood: Web of Lies," she said. "It's tru; there's an echo of my past work in [this spinoff]."

The spin-off will accompany the upcoming ten-part TV series Torchwood: Miracle Day which will air on BBC One (UK) and Starz (USA) in July.
