Doctor Who joins Twitter!

The BBC have launched an official Twitter account for Doctor Who. The page, which already has nearly 10,000 followers, will be updated with the latest news and exclusive material from the Doctor Who site.

The BBC have reinforced the fact that Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill do not have Twitter accounts, Facebook pages or blogs.

Other notable Twitter accounts include @DoctorWhoVortex, Doctor Who's spin-off series @BBC_Torchwood, Colin Baker @SawbonesHex and Doctor Who's executive producer @steven_moffat.
