The Sarah Adventures nominated for RTS award

The Royal Television Society have announced the shortlist for the RTS Programme Awards 2010.

The Sarah Jane Adventures is competing with Tracy Beaker Returns for the Children's Drama award. The Doctor Who spin-off was nominated in last year, but lost out to CBBC's Roy.

David Tennant has earned a nomination in the Actor (Male) category for his role in BBC One's Single Father.

Steven Moffat's Sherlock is up for the Drama Series award alongside ITV1's Downton Abbey and Channel 4's Misfits.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 15th March at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
