David Walliams cast in Doctor Who
Well known actor David Walliams has said that he has been cast in the next series of Doctor Who.
While appearing on BBC Radio 2's Chris Evans Breakfast Show earlier today, Walliams said that he will be playing an alien and filming begins in a few weeks.
The actor, comedian and writer is probably best known for his role in the BBC One series Little Britain which he co-wrote and co-starred in with Matt Lucas. The programme's voice over was provided by Tom Baker, as Walliams and Lucas had been fans of Baker's Doctor. More recently, the duo produced the highly-successful 'Come Fly With Me', which was promoted by a Dalek.
