Lauren Ambrose cast in Torchwood: Miracle Day

Six Feet Under's Lauren Ambrose will join the cast of Torchwood: Miracle Day, EW.com have said.

The American actress will reportedly play Jilly Kitzinger, a sweet-talking PR genius with a heart of stone who’s just cornered the most important client of her career … and maybe of all time.

Ambrose will appear in seven of the ten episodes alongside John Barrowman and Eve Myles.

The series is expected to be broadcast on BBC One in the UK and Starz in the USA in July 2011.
