Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol - U.S air date
BBC America have announced the air date and time for this year's Christmas Special of its highest-rated show, Doctor Who.
The Steven Moffat-penned episode "A Christmas Carol" will premier on the channel on Christmas Day (Saturday 25th December) at 9.00pm ET, the same day as its UK showing.
The episode is a clever twist on Dickens' famous novel "A Christmas Carol" and features Matt Smith as The Doctor, Karen Gillan as Amy and Arthur Darvill as Rory alongside guest actors Sir Michael Gambon and Katherine Jenkins.
Regarding the BBC America transmission, Perry Simon, General Manager comments: “Doctor Who has become a key part of the BBC AMERICA schedule, and having the opportunity to air A Christmas Carol on Christmas Day is like receiving our very own holiday gift. The Timelord may travel through time and space, but he’s certainly found a home at BBC AMERICA.”
This year's Doctor Who Proms will be shown on the channel in the run-up to the special episode, along with a marathon of the series.
