Matt Smith gains Guinness World Record
Matt Smith, who is currently playing the lead role in Doctor Who, has gained a Guinness World Record.
The actor, 27, is officially recognised as the youngest star to take the role of 'The Doctor' in this year's book of Guinness World Records.
Fifth Doctor Peter Davison was previously held the title at the age of 29, until Matt Smith was cast at the age of 26.
This record joins Doctor Who's previously awarded records: 'most successful Science Fiction television series in the world' and 'longest-running sci-fi series'.
