Doctor Who - National Television Awards 2011
Doctor Who has earned three nominations in the 2011 National Television Awards longlist.
The show itself is nominated in the 'Best Drama' category, along with 33 other programmes, including Steven Moffat's contemporary version of 'Sherlock'.
Matt Smith and Karen Gillan are going head-to-head for the 'Best Drama Performance' award, for their roles as The Doctor and Amy Pond.
Since Doctor Who returned in 2005, it has gained a total of 11 National Television Awards, including 'Best Drama'.
