Five Years of New Doctor Who!

On 26th March 2005 at 7.00pm, Doctor Who returned to BBC One with a brand new Series of 13 episodes, a new Doctor - played by Christopher Eccleston a new Companion, Rose Tyler - played by Billie Piper and a new head writer, Russell T Davies. Five years on the show has clocked up a total of 60 episodes with consistently high ratings and numerous awards to its name.

The return of Doctor Who in the 21st century has once again restored it to the best show in the Universe and its success is down to a number of brilliant people including David Tennant, Christoper Eccleston, Billie Piper, Freema Agyeman, Catherine Tate, Steven Moffat, Phil Collinson, Julie Gardner and the extremely talented Russell T Davies.

Doctor Who returns to BBC One next Saturday, 3rd April, with a new Doctor - played by Matt Smith, a new companion, Amy Pond - played by Karen Gillan along with a new head writer, Steven Moffat.
