He's Still Not Ginger!

Were any ginger Whovians offended when Matt Smith said 'I'm still not ginger!' in The End of Time, Part Two on New Year's Day? Well, according to this article from The Sun, the BBC have received floods of complains about the 'jibe'!

Of course if you've seen The Christmas Invasion you can probably recall the newly-regenerated Tenth Doctor saying 'Aww, I wanted to be ginger. I've never been ginger.' Meaning it to be a compliment but The Eleventh Doctor's remark has been taken the wrong way with one 'angry' Mother saying: "I think it is totally inappropriate for the Doctor to make fun of people with ginger hair - it is a programme children watch and I think it will encourage bullying."

It's obviously not meant to be an insult or mock gingers in any way and with flame-haired Catherine Tate and Karen Gillan both being cast in lead roles proves that the show is not anti-ginger! David Tennant also recently said on Alan Carr's Chatty Man that he thinks gingers are unfairly discriminated against! Personally I have nothing against them but it seems very trivial!
