The Weeping Angels Return!

While being interviewed during 'Night Waves' BBC Radio 3 tonight, incoming head writer executive producer of Doctor Who, Steven Moffat, announced the return of the Weeping Angels in Series 5!

Moffat penned the 2007 episode 'Blink', which saw the introduction of monsters and the episode was recently voted the second most popular Doctor Who story ever in Doctor Who Magazine's 'Mighty 200' poll.

The Eleventh Doctor, actor Matt Smith, will face the 'lonely assassins' along with is companion, Amy Pond, actress Karen Gillan. The 13-part series is currently being filmed and is due to be broadcast in Spring 2010.
