Doctor Who Series Five Writers?

With one comedy writer confirmed to be penning an episode of Doctor Who series five, the tabloids are already claiming that two other comedy writers will be penning episodes for the fifth series. The Mail on Sunday had an article in yesterday's edition, which claims that Simon Nye (Men Behaving Badly) and David Renwick (One Foot in the Grave) will also be contributing to the series. Stephen Fry is also rumoured! Read the article below;

Richard Curtis isn't the only well-known name who'll pen an episode of Doctor Who. Simon Nye, who wrote Men Behaving Badly, and David Renwick, best known for creating One Foot in the Grave, have also been drafted in. There's also talk at the BBC of an old Stephen Fry script being dusted off. Such is the certainty of royalties via DVD sales, repeats and worldwide syndication that writers are falling over each other to get in on the act.

We all know that the tabloids are not always the most reliable source for news, and this has not been confirmed by any official source yet, so until it is, watch this space!
