BE WARNED: THERE ARE A COUPLE OF SPOILERS COMING UP. NOT MAJOR ONES, BUT IF YOU LIKE YOUR EPISODES OF DOCTOR WHO SERVED COLD, YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THEM...

Firstly, as you probably know already, the first of the remaining special episodes, The Water Of Mars, is currently scheduled for broadcast in November. Then the two remaining episodes, which will mark David Tennant's departure from the show, will be broadcast on Christmas Day and New Years' Day (although that's still subject to official confirmation). We might just have to stay sober at Yuletide, at this rate.

HERE COMES THE SPOILER-Y STUFF

Meanwhile, yesterday it was reported that there are to be three weddings in the final episodes of Tennant's reign. Apparently, we'll be seeing Rose again in the parallel universe that's been sealed off permanently and forever and we've got no chance of therefore seeing her again. She'll apparently be marrying the clone Doctor that we saw in Journey's End. Meanwhile, Mickey Smith, Rose's ex, is apparently marrying Martha Jones. And then Sarah Jane is getting hitched too, although we'll be seeing that apparently in The Sarah Jane Adventures. Bringing back lots of characters and tying them together in one big knot? You'd never guess who writes this stuff!

In further casting news, Timothy Dalton has been added to the line up, to play a villain, while June Whitfield is now definitely on board too. Some reports are suggesting that the final special will be called 'Beautiful Chaos', but again, that's heresay thus far.

SPOILERS END

And in some sad news, Outpost Gallifrey, arguably the finest Doctor Who website on the planet, and home to certainly the liveliest forum, will be shutting its doors. The site has been running for 13 years, and its founder, Shaun Lyon, has decided to call it a day. Thanks for everything there, Shaun, and all the best for the future.
