The Doctor Who Experience launches in Cardiff
The Doctor Who Experience has re-launched in Cardiff today, following a short break after its initial run in London.
The interactive exhibition, which features costumes and monsters from the entire history of Doctor Who, opened its doors to the public this morning with visitors from across the globe.
Fans get the opportunity to star in their very own walk-through Doctor Who adventure with three TARDIS sets and exclusive footage written by Steven Moffat and starring Matt Smith.
The building has been especially built to house the experience and will be based in Cardiff for the forseeable future.
Business Minister, Edwina Hart said: "Doctor Who fans span the globe and the programme has been televised in 50 countries.
"This unique exhibition is expected to attract a quarter of a million visitors a year to its Cardiff Bay venue and boosting our tourism industry, which is already worth over £4bn a year to the Welsh economy."
Philip Murphy, the managing director of BBC worldwide live events, said: "It has created work too, because a lot of local people have been hired to create this, and through the additional tourism it'll bring in."
The Doctor Who Experience is located at Porth Teigr, Cardiff.
