New Doctor Who series to be previewed at Edinburgh TV Festival
The 2012 MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival will be screening the first episode in the new series of Doctor Who later this year.
Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss will also be in attendance to give a masterclass on their BBC One hit series Sherlock.
The festival will take place between 23rd and 25th August. The seventh series of Doctor Who is expected to start around the same time. In 2011, Let's Kill Hitler was previewed at the event, one day before it aired on BBC One.
The opening story of the new series is scripted by Moffat and features almost every Dalek design from the history of Doctor Who.
