Mike McShane joins Doctor Who cast
Mike McShane will appear in the next series of Doctor Who, the American actor has confirmed on his Twitter account.
McShane has been cast as a villain in episode five of this year's series, which is currently in production in Cardiff.
On 5th April, the actor wrote: "Getting ready to leave for Cardiff to be a villain in Dr.Who!! YEEESSSS!!!"
He later added: "Spoiler Alert for Dr Who; in my episode the Doctor finds he's got a;:/;;zapppppp GACK. sizzle,hissssss......"
On 21st April, McShane once again took to the social networking website to reveal that he has completed filming: "most fantastic time doing Doctor Who; best cast and crew I've been with in a while! Long live Gallifrey..."
The episode is partly set in New York and features the Weeping Angels. It sees the departure of Amy and Rory and is written by Steven Moffat.
