Starz announce Torchwood: Miracle Day air date

Stars Entertainment have announced that Torchwood: Miracle Day will premier in the US on Friday 8th July.

The date was exclusively revealed by TV Line and came accompanied with a promotional poster.

The BBC have not confirmed when the series will be aired in the UK, although a recent press release stated that it will be broadcast in July.

Torchwood executive producer Russell T Davies recently explained the storyline of the fourth series: “Not a single person on Earth dies. The old stay old. It’s great news for some people, but globally it’s an instant population boom. Earth relies on people dying. Suddenly you’re affecting everyone on the planet. That’s where the Torchwood team comes in.”

The series sees the return of John Barowman as Captain Jack and Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper. It also introduces Mekhi Phifer as Rex Matheson, Alexa Havins as Esther Drummond, Bill Pullman as Oswald Danes and Arlene Tur as DR. Vera Juraz.
