Michael Sheen cast in Doctor Who

Michael Sheen has landed a voice over role on the next series of Doctor Who, it has emerged.

He will be voicing a character in Episode 4 of the new series, which is scripted by Neil Gaiman.

The acclaimed actor announced the news when his visited the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama last week.

Sheen's most notable work includes playing former Prime Minister Tony Blair in The Deal, The Queen, and The Special Relationship.

He is also well known for his role as Brian Clough in the critically acclaimed The Damned United.

Doctor Who will return at Easter.
