Michael Gough dies, aged 94
Actor Michael Gough has passed away, aged 94, his agent has confirmed.
Gough appeared in the 1965 Doctor Who story "The Celestial Toymaker" opposite William Hartnell's Doctor.
He later returned to the series in 1985 alongside Peter Davison, taking on the role of Councillor Hedin in "Arc of Infinity".
The actor was once married to Anneke Wills, who played Polly in Doctor Who.
Michael Gough had an extensive acting career, appearing in over 150 films and TV shows, including The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Count of Monte Christo The Saint The Avengers, The Champions, Colditz and Blake's 7.
Gough's most famous work was as Alfred Pennyworth in the Batman movies alongside Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer and George Clooney.
