Viewers want Doctor Who in 3D
A recent survey has revealed that Doctor Who is the programme that viewers would most like to see in 3D.
The study, carried out by Japanese TV manufacturer Panasonic, found that Doctor Who came out on top as the programme that viewers would like to see in the format, followed by BBC shows Wallace and Gromit in second place and Top Gear in third.
Panasonic’s Fabrice Estornel commented: “The past few months have seen a welcome increase in the amount of 3D programming for the home. 2010 will be the first 3D Christmas – or the first Christmas that 3D consumer products have been readily available.”
A 3D trailer promoting the fifth series of Doctor Who was screened in UK cinemas earlier this year.
