Matt Smith's Doctor Who debut most watched on iPlayer
Matt Smith's Doctor Who debut was streamed over 2.2 million times on the BBC iPlayer since it was broadcast in April, the BBC has said.
The figure makes the Doctor Who Series 5 opening episode "The Eleventh Hour" the most-requested programme of 2010.
Meanwhile, Steven Moffat's episode of Sherlock had 1.4 million views, giving it third place behind an episode of Top Gear with 1.6 million.
The service had a record breaking 1.3 billion requests in 2010.
BBC iPlayer was launched on Christmas Day 2007, with the Doctor Who Christmas Special "Voyage of the Damned" being the first programme to be embedded.
