TV Choice Award Shortlist 2010

Doctor Who and Torchwood: Children of Earth have both received nominations in the 2010 TV Choice Awards shortlist..

Doctor Who is nominated in the 'Best Family Drama' category, and is up against Merlin, Waterloo Road and Wild At Heart.

Torchwood: Children of Earth is up against Ashes to Ashes, Shameless and Skins in the 'Best Drama Series' category.

In the 'Best Actor' category, Matt Smith is nominated for his role as 'The Doctor' in Doctor Who alongside John Barrowman for his role as 'Captain Jack' in Torchwood. Philip Glensister (Ashes To Ashes) and Jack O'Connell (Skins) are also nominated.

Karen Gillan is nominated in the 'Best Actress' category for her role as 'Amy Pond' in Doctor Who. She is up against Keeley Hawes (Ashes to Ashes), Kaya Scodelario (Skins) and Denise Welch (Waterloo Road).

Voting closes at midnight on Friday 9 July and the winners will be announced on stage at The Dorchester hotel in London’s Park Lane on Monday 6 September.
