Doctor Who: The Adventure Games - 500,000 downloads

The BBC have revealed that the first episode of Doctor Who: The Adventure Games has been downloaded over half a million times in just 12 days. The official Doctor Who website has also had a 67% increase of unique hits. The first episode, City of the Daleks, features the voices of Matt Smith and Karen Gillan.

Simon Nelson, head of the BBC's multiplatform in vision team, said that he is "thrilled" to gain over half a million downloads for the episode in such a short time.

"It's clear we've got people playing these interactive episodes who wouldn't ordinarily play through a computer game - and the opportunity to actually be the Doctor is hugely appealing," he said.
