Doctor Who: Who on Who? Today
'Who On Who?' marks the end of an era in the history of 'Doctor Who'.
Actor David Tennant interviews Executive Producer and show-runner Russell T Davies in a special programme broadcast just days before the Time Lord's latest regeneration. Both David and Russell are leaving the series following 'The End of Time Part 2' on New Year's Day.
In almost fifty episodes, David's Doctor has encountered - and in some cases defeated - The Sycorax, The Ood and The Judoon; not forgetting The Sontarans, Cybermen and The Daleks.
It's been a journey of impossible things that - quite genuinely - has changed David Tennant's life. And someone who's been with him on this remarkable adventure through time and space - and Cardiff - has been the writer, Executive Producer and show-runner Russell T Davies.
In a specially recorded interview, David talks to Russell about all things 'Who'.
They discuss why now is the right time for them both to leave the series, and Russell explains why he won't be writing for the show in the future. Russell also reveals how TV shows like ITV'S 'Pop Idol' influenced 'Doctor Who' and why the success of the revamped series took the cast and creative team behind it by surprise.
Featuring clips from the last five years of the BBC'S most successful drama, Russell also reveals that he declined the BBC's original request for a series about a young Doctor studying at the Time Lord Academy. And Russell suggests that 'Torchwood' - the series he created for the BBC - wouldn't get commissioned today. David Tennant also asks the man, once dubbed by The Independent Newspaper as television's "saviour of Saturday night drama", about his plans for the future.
'Who On Who?' is a must for all fans of 'Doctor Who'.

Doctor Who: The End of Time, Part One Ratings
BBC One soap Eastenders took the top spot with 10.9 million (45.9%) followed by The Royale Family with 10.2 million (42.5%). Catherine Tate: Nan's Christmas Carol (with David Tennant) was the 7th most watched with 7.1 million (31.2%).
Doctor Who Confidential: Lords and Masters had 0.58 million when it was broadcast on BBC Three making it the 4th most watched on all digital channels.
These ratings are likely to rise when they are officially released in two weeks.

Doctor Who: The End of Time & Dreamland Commentaries
The commentaries will also be available to download and the BBC iPlayer following the Christmas & New Year's Day broadcasts.
The BBC One repeat of the Doctor Who animated adventure Dreamland on Christmas Eve at 9.00am also has a commentary with writer Phil Ford and director Gary Russell, available via the BBC's Red Button service.
Meanwhile, the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine has announced that DVD commentaries have been completed for The End of Time with David Tennant, Catherine Tate and Euros Lyn commentating on Part One and David Tennant, Euros Lyn and John Simm commentating on Part Two.
The complete specials box set is out on 11th January 2010.

Digital Spy's Doctor Who: The End of Time Coverage
1. The first line of the episode? "It is said that in the final days of planet Earth, everyone had bad dreams."
2. Continuing the Children In Need scene, where The Doctor is in the cave with The Ood, he sees visions of The Master, Joshua Naismith... and Wilf.
3. The Master's resurrection is preposterous. Absolutely preposterous. Lucy Saxon - incarcerated after the events of 'The Last of the Time Lords' - plays a key part in the process. And she has such lovely lipstick.
4. We don't have to wait too long before The Master and The Doctor come face-to-face for their Star Wars-esque battle. Other films getting small nods in 'Part One' include Jaws 2 (thump thump) and The Matrix.
5. Joshua Naismith, an idiot and a fool, wants Harold Saxon The Master to do something for him.
6. There's an awful lot of Wilf in this episode. Not too much Donna to start with, although we find out what she's been doing with her life while The Doctor's been absent. And she's still very special.
7. POTUS!

"It's only a matter of weeks before it's on the telly - you've waited this long! I was in touch with Russell again the other day and that whole world is - as I've said a multitude of times before - I love what I'm doing and at one point it was a decision of doing this or going into Torchwood. Russell completely supported my decision on this. It's great because for me at this stage it's about gaining different experiences and doing different things but Martha's not done!"
She's going to be back at some point?
"I'm going to say yes!"
Do you think you'll shed a couple of tears when David Tennant departs?
"When I first got into the Who world I did say the show is about change. I haven't changed my opinion on that just because it's different for me now. I truly believe that. I don't think it's a sad thing - embrace Matt Smith and it's going to be brilliant with Karen as well and David's going to be doing famously well. What's there to be upset for him about? He's off and up!"

The Weeping Angels Return!
Moffat penned the 2007 episode 'Blink', which saw the introduction of monsters and the episode was recently voted the second most popular Doctor Who story ever in Doctor Who Magazine's 'Mighty 200' poll.
The Eleventh Doctor, actor Matt Smith, will face the 'lonely assassins' along with is companion, Amy Pond, actress Karen Gillan. The 13-part series is currently being filmed and is due to be broadcast in Spring 2010.

The last we saw, The Master's ring was being collected from his ashes. Can we assume you were picking up his ring?
"It wasn't me! You're going to have to keep watching to find out who it was!"
Lucy shot The Master, which led to his apparent death. What's her relationship with him like this time?
"Not good. She's been incarcerated since, as a punishment for the shooting, so she has a lot of time to reflect on how bad it all got. She's a little bit of a reformed character."
Where was she incarcerated?
"I'm not 100% sure to be honest. She's been incarcerated in a really epic castle dungeon-style prison which we actually shot in a medieval castle in Wales - it was freezing! I'm not quite sure who incarcerates her but there's a governor of the prison - a new governor... that's as much as I can tell you."
When she's let out is she angry or has she found peace?
"She's actually not necessarily let out! She's quite an angry person, I would say."
