`Hello, I'm the Doctor. And, if you can hear this, then one of us is going to die.'
At the bottom of the sea, in the wreck of a floating radio station, a lost recording has been discovered. After careful restoration, it is played for the first time - to reveal something incredible. It is the voice of the Doctor, broadcasting from Radio Bravo in 1966. He has travelled to Earth in search of the Hush - a terrible weapon that kills, silences and devours anything that makes noise - and has tracked it to a boat crewed by a team of pirate DJs. With the help of feisty Liverpudlian Layla and some groovy pop music, he must trap the Hush and destroy it - before it can escape and destroy the world...

Written specially for audio by James Goss and read by David Tennant, Dead Air features the Doctor as played by David Tennant in the acclaimed hit series from BBC Television.

Billie went on to say that Tennant is 'slightly anxious' that American producers might hijack the project and cast someone like Johnny Depp in the role.

In May last year the BBC confirmed that a script for a Doctor Who movie is 'in development'.

Let's get Bernard Cribbins back into the charts!

A new Facebook page has been created in the aim of getting Bernard Cribbins' 1962 single 'Right Said Fred' back into the UK singles chart!

The power of 'social networking' has already proved to have a massive impact on the charts after a Facebook campaign resulted in 'Rage Against The Machine' beating X Factor winner Joe McElderry's 'The Climb' to the Christmas Number Number 1. Even John Barrowman's dedicated fans got his cover of 'I Made It Through The Rain' to Number 14 last year. If John Barrowman can do it, why not Bernard Cribbins?!

Facebook group - Let's get Bernard Cribbins back into the charts!
The legend that is Bernard Cribbins who was so brilliant recently in Doctor Who and who has basically been an icon to many, many people throughout our entire lives, was once a pop star too! If enough people buy his classic song "Right Said Fred" then maybe we can give Bernard another honour he deserves before the knighthood that is surely inevitable!!

Billie Piper Interview

Digital Spy have an exclusive interview with Billie Piper ahead of the third series of 'Secret Diary of a Call Girl'. She briefly talks about Doctor Who:

You returned to film some scenes for Tennant's final Doctor Who outing. How was that?
"It was weird because I didn't have a full script and I had to do it in three hours. It was after filming Secret Diary in the day and it was too short! I didn't know anything about the story. I wish I'd been there for the whole episode - but that would have been a bit tedious!"

Did you get emotional knowing David would be leaving?
"Yes, I hate it that he's left! But then I know Matt Smith really well and I love him and I think he's such a brilliant actor. The role couldn't have gone to a better guy. He's capable of that. He's got big shoes to fill, but I'm certain he can do it."

What did you think when you watched David's final episodes back?
"Do you know, I haven't seen it yet! I went away for Christmas and New Year so it would have been a bit weird trying to sly off and watch an episode of Doctor Who on my own! I definitely will though. Was it good? Did you cry?"

We cried our eyes out! Is there room for Rose to return at a later date?
"I think it's done now, isn't it? I think that ship has sailed. That old, wooden ship! I really loved doing it, but Doctor Who has moved on - it's different people, different crew, different production team and I can't keep going back. It's ridiculous! It's time to move on..."

Doctor Who's Trophy Cabinet

Digital Spy have a run down of Doctor Who's trophy cabinet (which is probably bigger on the inside) since the show was revived in 2005 and prior to this week's National Television Awards!

2005
The fruits of the revived show didn't bear much until the following year as it was screened too late to be eligible for most of the telly-related awards, but it did just creep in towards the end of the year to secure a stunning trio of gongs at the National Television Awards. Voted for by the public, this was validation of Doctor Who's mainstream success and also saw Christopher Eccleston's part in the relaunch be rightly noticed.

Doctor Who Video Game?

ComputerAndVideoGames.com are reporting that the BBC want to go ahead with a video game based on Doctor Who.

And we're not talking another Top Trumps-type effort here; we're talking triple-A, major production.

According to MCV magazine this morning, the Beeb is ready to help create games based on its biggest licences - after a long period of abstinence.

"We've been reactive to the market in the last few years," said Dave Anderson, head of multimedia development at BBC Worldwide.

"There were a few opportunistic licensing deals, but we were largely aggregating and holding onto our properties to wait and see how the market developed."

Colin Baker Interview on Hustle and Doctor Who!

Digital Spy have an interview with the Colin Baker, who played the Sixth Doctor in the period 1984-1986. Baker is guest starring in tonight's episode of Hustle at 9.00pm on BBC One and briefly talks about Doctor Who in the interview.

Extract from the interview;
Moving on to Doctor Who, do you think it was the right time for David Tennant to leave?
"That's entirely up to him. I think in his case, possibly, because he's shown every side of being highly employable in its aftermath. He's a very fine actor and from what I've seen of his Doctor, he's been superb. I think whenever he went, it would have been fine because he's good enough."

What do you think of the new regime? I've read a few interviews recently where you've been very complimentary of Steven Moffat.
"I hadn't realised, until I checked, that the stories I liked best are the ones he's written. 'The Doctor Dances' and 'Blink' were both written by him. So if the series continues in that vein it can only get better. The level of scriptwriting over the last couple of years has been superb. And he understands, in the same way that Roald Dahl did, just how far you can go in frightening children. They wanted to be scared! All those fairy stories about wolves eating little girls, you wouldn't get writers doing that these days, but that's the level of imagination young children have and they need to use those stories to get their imaginations going."

There are always rumours of a new multi-Doctor story. Have you ever heard anything about that?
"We oldies together? No, not a word. Haven't had a single approach from anyone connected to Doctor Who about doing anything. Not even going along to watch an episode of it, never mind being in one. So I think the likelihood is very small."

Would you be keen to do it?
"I take every job on its merits. I'm not not keen, nor am I sitting here waiting for the call. It's so unlikely to happen that I don't spend much time thinking about it. I don't look the same. I started playing the part 25 years ago! Peter [Davison] does still look pretty much like he did then, but not me. I suspect I could play a part in the new series without you even knowing it was me!"
